Finding Answers announced a third call for proposals (CFP) on July 17, 2008.
Grants awarded under this program go to the organizations (health care organizations, providers or health insurance plans) implementing the intervention. Grantees may conduct the evaluation in partnership with a recognized academic institution or research group. Proposals must focus on innovative interventions that reduce racial and ethnic disparities in the treatment of cardiovascular disease, depression, or diabetes.
All applicants must submit proposals for this program only through the RWJF
Grantmaking Online system. Please register in
Grantmaking Online to learn the details of the proposal process, including proposal content and format requirements. You are not obligated to submit a proposal if you register.
There are two stages in the application process: 1) the submission of a brief proposal that will describe the project and, if invited, 2) the submission of a full proposal.
The NPO will provide technical support for the online application and grantee selection process. Please contact the NPO directly with requests at (866) 344-9800 or by e-mail at

Stage 1: Brief Proposal
This stage of our current CFP is now complete. Brief proposals were due 2 p.m. CT on September 18, 2008.
Stage 2: Full Proposal
We will notify applicants selected to submit a full proposal by December 11, 2008. Information on the submission of full proposals will be provided to the selected applicants at that time. The deadline for receipt of full proposals is 2 p.m. CT on February 5, 2009.
Brief proposal applicant Web conferences were held on July 30 and August 1, 2008 to provide information on the project goals and to assist applicants with the proposal process. Each conference had identical presentations and ended with a question and answer session. View the Web conference archive here.
